The QBR Where You Walked Out With an Expansion

Most QBRs cover the same ground: usage metrics, support ticket trends, roadmap updates. The QBRs that produce expansion are the ones where the customer success leader walks in with a strategic view of the customer's business — their competitive position, the trends shaping their market, the personas their company is selling to. Customers remember those QBRs. They produce expansion because they shift the conversation from 'are we delivering value' to 'how can we help you win.'

Generate the Report for the Customer's Business

Fluxel reports are normally generated for your own business. For strategic account planning, the reports are generated for the customer's business — competitive landscape of the customer's competitors, trends in the customer's industry, SWOT of the customer's strategic position. The output becomes a QBR pre-read or a leave-behind that demonstrates strategic depth far beyond what most CSMs walk in with.

Top 5% of Accounts Get the Treatment

This isn't a workflow for every customer — it's for the top 5-10% of accounts where renewal and expansion meaningfully move the number. A customer success team managing 30 strategic accounts can credibly run this workflow per account on a quarterly cadence. The hour-per-account analytical work pays back in renewal rate, expansion rate, and the qualitative shift in customer relationship that strategic depth produces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I generate strategy reports for my customers' businesses?

Yes. Fluxel supports multiple business profiles per workspace, so each strategic account can have its own profile and its own report set. Profiles are private to your workspace; nothing is shared between profiles or between Fluxel customers.

How do I keep account-level reports separate from my own company's strategy?

Each business profile is independent. Tag profiles by account name (or use the Consultant tier for advanced workspace organization) to keep them organized. Reports generated for an account stay associated with that profile.

Is this allowed under data privacy / customer confidentiality?

Reports use only the inputs you provide and public data sources. You're not sharing customer data with Fluxel beyond what you put in the profile. Public data analysis (the customer's competitors, industry trends) raises no confidentiality concerns. For sensitive internal customer data, do not include it in the profile — generate strategic context only.

Can I white-label the report for my CSM team?

Yes. The Consultant tier supports white-label exports — your branding, your cover pages, your deliverable framing. Reports look like CSM-team analytical work product, not third-party tool output.

How long does each customer report take to generate?

Profile setup: 30-60 minutes per strategic account (one-time). Report generation: 5-15 minutes per report. A complete strategic-account-planning pack (4-5 reports) takes under an hour to generate after profile setup.

Do top accounts get auto-updates with Living Reports?

On Business+ tiers, Living Reports refresh automatically every 6 hours. For strategic accounts, this means each quarter's QBR pre-read reflects current data without manual re-generation. Health badges flag sections with material changes since last review.
